This earrings are entirely handmade with fine silver and cloisonné enamel. The studs are sterling silver. They are handmade in Ireland, county Kerry, using ancient enamelling technique called Minankari.
They are very delicate and elegant.
The Minankari, also known as Cloisonné or Vitreous Enamel is an intricate and laborious, ancient jewellers technique.
The enamel becomes the final artwork after several firing operations in a special kiln and then, time-consuming polishing, demanding high level of an expertise.
The finished piece is unique and it is almost impossible to find two identical ornaments.
