This earrings are entirely handmade with fine silver and cloisonné enamel. They are handmade in lreand, county Kerry, in our small workshop using ancient enamelling technique called minankari.
The Minankari, also known as Cloisonné or Vitreous Enamel is an intricate and laborious, ancient jewellers technique. The enamel becomes the final artwork after several firing operations in a special kiln and then, time-consuming polishing, demanding high level of an expertise.
The finished piece is unique and it is almost impossible to find two identical pieces of jewellery.
They are very delicate and elegant.
